Man Serves Jail Time For His Weird Behavior Towards A Piece Of Art (6 Pics)

In 2012 Andrew Shannon visited an art museum in Ireland and ended up in a rather unusual situation.
For some unexplained reason Andrew up punching a £8 million ($12,5 million) Monet's "Argenteuil Basin with a Single Sail Boat" (1874) for which he was sentenced to six years in prison.

Judge Martin Nolan jailed the thug, who has 48 previous convictions, for six years and suspended the final 15 months on strict conditions, including that he not enter a gallery or any other public institution where paintings are displayed.

Painting took two years to restore and was returned to gallery in July
